Nurse

Parent Information
Medication Policy:
Over the counter medication and prescribed medication must have the following: Parent and Physician must sign the Medication Consent Form, the medication must in a new unopened bottle, medication must be age appropriate, and the Parent must bring the medication to the nurse not the student.
COVID-19 Guidelines:
This year we are enforcing our COVID-19 guidelines, we need every parent to help us keep this pandemic under control by washing their hands, social distancing, wear a facial covering, and do not touch your mask or face. We want to keep our children safe along with our staff.
Fever--100.0 using our Thermal Red Non-Touch thermometer. Students will be sent home should they develop a fever and are asked not to return to school until they are fever free without fever reducing medication for 24 hours.
Vomiting and/or Diarrhea--student should be free from both for 24 hours before returning to school.
Rashes with fever or behavior changes indicating illness--Student must have a doctor's release before returning to school.
Possible Conjunjunctivitis--signs and symptoms: red eye/eyes, thick yellow or green discharge from eye/eywes. Student must have a doctor's release before returning to school.
Lice--(live lice or large amount of nits). Student needs to be treated and checked by school nurse before re-entry to the classroom.
Students may also be sent home if they are too ill to remain at school.
**IF your child is diagnosed with a contagious condition, a doctor's note with date of re-entry must be brought to school.**
Parents, as precautionary measures of COVID-19, any student that presents with Flu-like symptoms will be treated as if they have Covid-19 (because the symptoms are so similar). It is our recommendation that the student be checked for Covid-19 and the Flu (this is just a recommendation). Should your child have the test done, please make sure the nurse attains a copy of the results to ensure a safe environment for other students and staff.
