Third Grade
Third grade is an important year in children’s education as they transition from “learning how to read” to “reading to learn.” Our students are expected to take control of their learning by being more independent and analyze information. Third graders start by mastering basic skills, and progress to successfully perform more complex skills. They develop critical thinking skills which helps them understand what they read, communicate through writing, be mathematical problem solvers, ask hypothetical science questions, and understand the importance of the different levels within a community.
